The Makery Tacoma: Crafting Connections, Now Open!

Tacoma, WA – We're thrilled to announce that The Makery DIY Craft Studio has returned to its roots, now under the ownership of Tacoma Glassblowing! Founded by Jolie McNulty in Tacoma in 2015, The Makery successfully pivoted to a nationwide subscription box service in 2021. Jolie's dream was always to bring The Makery's hands-on experience back to the Tacoma community, and now, that dream is a reality.

This exciting return is spearheaded by Tacoma Glassblowing, a beloved local institution that has been in operation since 2006. Jeannine Sigafoos and her husband, who opened Tacoma Glassblowing to share the magic of blown glass, expanded their reach in 2024 by opening Tacoma Glass Gallery and Fusing Studio in the vibrant Proctor District. Their successful glassblowing and fusing workshops have long fostered community engagement, and with the acquisition of The Makery, they're now expanding that creative space even further.

The Makery Tacoma is officially open, serving as a dedicated hub where you can disconnect from everyday life and connect with others through diverse art forms. You'll find us at Tacoma Glass Gallery (2621 N Proctor Street, Tacoma, WA 98407).

Great news for our online crafting community! Our Subscription Box Membership is now open, actively shipping subscriptions, and ready for new orders!

We can't wait to see what you MAKE!
